What is a Composite Door?

Saturday, November 21st, 2009

A composite door is a very robost door that  replicates a traditional timber door. The door skin moulds are developed from real wood, thus allowing accurate replication of natural grains and patterns.

Generally speaking, the outer skin is made from GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) and covers an internal make up of wood and foam insulation. GRP is extremely durable and in a vast amount of cases will never discolour or fade. This composite construction provides superb noise and thermal insulation.

As far as security goes, a composite door has it covered. Tested to high standards, they are very secure and effective against forced entry attacks.

Composite doors are available in a range of styles and colours. Call us today on 01892 665224 to find out more.
