The window scrappage scheme – scrap poorly insulated windows for a £1000 cash incentive! That is what’s been proposed to the government through a petition on the Number 10 website. There is no official goverment scheme as yet. The petition signing dealine isnt even until 24th March 2010.
There seems to be a number of ‘unofficial’ scrappage schemes coming to light with customers being offered up to £2000 off in some cases. In this instance, as always, we recommend obtaining a handful of quotes. That way you can decide if it is a genuine offer or just another marketing gimmick.
